Karen was a loving sister, a sister that had great pride in her family. Karen is gone from earth, but she will be a part of all of us from now to eternity.

Karen was a very caring, selfless individual who always put her family first.  Heaven gained another angel.  She's always be watching over all of you.

Karen was one of the kindest, loving person I have ever known.  She always put others before herself. Heaven has definitely gained another angel, and will be missed dearly!

Karen is my sister. I’ve known her since her birth and a more gentle soul was never born. I was always the ever more serious older brother, and she the ever more tender hearted little sister. None of that matters now. The bottom line is that Karen is as good a person as any of us are ever likely to know. I have loved her always and will miss her perpetually. 

I met Karen 6 years ago when I started volunteering at my grandsons school.  She was such a beautiful person, who never said no when it came to helping others.  She helped me with so many projects, both personal and school related.  If you needed flyers, programs, spread sheets anything at all she was always there,   even when she was busy she would always find the time to help you.   I would sit with  between classes and sometimes after school and we would just talk.  You my friend will be missed by so many RIH😢

From the second I got to Rio Vista, Karen was there to help me out not my techie needs. She got my smart board running and insured everything I needed was working. I have had been at three PYLUSD schools and never felt more taken care of than by Karen. We were blessed to have her grandson, Connor as a lead in our very first musical and Ka en became a fan ever since, helping us in our tech needs whenever she could. It is a huge huge loss to Rio, but we are better to have us watching over us. I love you Karen. 

Pete and I send our love to the Salemi family. We spent many years watching our boys play little league together and treasure those memories.  Karen was an amazing mother and friend and we were all blessed to have known her.  

My prayers go out to karens family Karen will be missed very much .Karen would stop in to see me everyday and we would talk about life and work. We would laugh alot. She was always there for me everyday. Karen became my best friend. As her and end our talks or anything it was always love you to the moon and back fly high beautiful love you Sabra 

My deepest condolences to the Salemi Family.  Almost impossible to share a memory because we shared almost a lifetime of lunches together, our understanding for one another was deep. Karen you just knew me and had words of encouragement at the tip of your tongue. I think we may have sat and ate with each other, more than any other person. There was not a morning that Karen wouldn’t stop at my desk to say good morning and ask about lunch. We prayed for one another  and reminded each other that every thing was in Gods hands. Valentine’s Day will always be extra special - her Father and my Mother shared the same birthday - so we made sure to make that day a little brighter. I am beyond thankful to have had the opportunity to visit hours before she rested in paradise. Our last I love you sissy, I asked Karen to give my mom a huge hug for me when she sees her in heaven - her response was a sharp with “oh ya”.  I will forever cherish the bond that we shared my sissy my friend. We will miss this selfless woman in our life’s. 🖤Lisa Fonseca
