John Lawrence Price

John Lawrence Price, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on April 10, 2023 following a lengthy illness. John was 69 at the time of his passing, departing this life peacefully and in the comfort of his home in Hemet, CA with his wife by his side. He will be remembered as a kind, hardworking, and thoughtful man who dedicated his life to his loved ones.

John was born August 31, 1953, in Lynwood, CA to Allan and Elsa “Bunnie” Price. He grew up in Orange County and graduated from Villa Park High School. During his life, John enjoyed performing multiple jobs in the construction industry and was a skilled craftsman and carpenter. He was immensely reliable and always worked hard to provide for his family.

John was a devoted father and enjoyed spending time with his children in the great outdoors; taking them on camping and hiking trips, and coaching their sports teams. John was an avid reader and instilled in them a love of books with weekly trips to the library. He was known for his tremendous library of reading material, which he was quick to share with friends and family.

In his 40’s, John united with the love of his life, Mary Key. Together, they shared many adventures and built a beautiful life. John's love for Mary was unwavering, and he cherished every moment they spent together.

During his retirement, John enjoyed spending time with his family, making regular trips to visit his mom and siblings. He loved taking road trips – taking in the scenery, stopping at his favorite fruit stands and trying his luck at casinos along the way. John also enjoyed tending to his plum trees, which he took great pride in.

John will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. John had a fondness for maps and navigating routes, so we can all take comfort in his ability to find the way to his final resting place in the hereafter.

John is survived by his loving wife, Mary Price; his children, Morgan Price, Klancy Price and Tara Price; his grandchildren, Alex, Elliot, and Holden; sister, Judith Wrisley; brothers, Patrick Price, Richard Price, and James Price; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other extended family members and friends.

A viewing, funeral service, along with time to reflect and share memories about John’s life, will be held at Fairhaven Memorial Park and Mortuary, in Santa Ana, CA on April 27, 2023 beginning at 12:00 p.m.
