Charles was born on March 3, 1955 to James and Eunice Walker and was survived by his wife Barbara Mardock,1 brother and sister in-law, 5 children and grandchildren. On Jan 29, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois Charles took an oath to defend and protect his nation and enlisted in the US Air Force where he served 12 years active duty as an Secure Communications Systems Craftsman. Mr. Walker earned a Good Conduct Service Medal, Outstanding Unit Award and Achievement Medal throughout his military career. Due to his leadership, work ethic, dedication and commitment, he climbed the ranks and was meritoriously promoted to E-5 Staff Sergeant by the end of his active duty enlistment. After his contract was over, he re-enlisted into the reserves component for 8 more years to fulfill his retirement from the Air Force and was working full-time as a government contractor for the Department of Defense.
A service for Charles will occur at Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado at a later date.
