Tim was born September 2, 1960, to Eugene and Maryann in Stuttgart, Germany. The eldest of four, he grew up in Monroe, Connecticut. He earned his bachelors degree from Providence College in Rhode Island and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. He served a distinguished twenty-seven year career, including two combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He retired in 2009 as a Colonel and began a second career as Chief Information Officer with the Department of Defense at PEO STRI. As a life long learner, he earned multiple masters degrees from the Army Command and General Staff College, the University of Tulsa and the Army War College. He loved travel and photography, was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his children.
Tim is survived by his wife, Tammy, his five children: Kevin (Chelsea), AliceMary (Eric), Meara, Emily and Meredith, his granddaughter, Alice Evelyn, his stepsons: Zachary and Jeremy, his mother Maryann and his siblings: Patrick, Kelly and Peggy.
Services will be held April 14th at 2pm at University Carillon United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at the Epic Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society in Tim’s name.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
