June Louise Wheaton Burgess, 69, of Orlando passed away Tuesday July 25, 2017. June was born on February 6, 1948 in Memphis, Tennessee; the daughter of William and Louise Wheaton. She worked as a legal secretary for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. June leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Chuck Burgess and wife Chequita of Lithia, daughter Shannon Akerson and husband Mike of Winter Springs, three grandchildren Elisabeth Akerson, Brandon Burgess, and Abigail Akerson. She is also survived by her brothers Bill, Don, Tom, and Wally Wheaton. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Dorothea Mickle. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 29 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Baldwin Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, with funeral services beginning at 3:00 pm in the chapel. June’s family suggests donations be made in lieu of flowers to either English Estates Elementary or Brandon Sports & Aquatic Center. Donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
