In loving memory of Juanita (Humbard) Banker, whose journey began on June 26, 1933, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and peacefully concluded on December 21, 2023. Born to Alpha E. Humbard and Martha Bell Childers Humbard, Juanita was the youngest of six siblings, including Clement Humbard, Rex Humbard, Mary Humbard, Leona Humbard Jones and Ruth Humbard Davidson.
Juanita's early life was immersed in the world of gospel, raised in a family where music and faith intertwined. From a young age, she showcased her musical talents, singing and playing instruments at camp meetings and on the radio alongside her family. In the 1950s, the Humbard family relocated to Akron, Ohio, where Juanita embarked on a journey of love and family, marrying Charles E. Singer, a United States Marine. Together, they raised six children—Tim, Leah, Melody, Dan (Elayne) Don (Joanell) and Steve (Jocel)
An advocate of independence and hard work, Juanita retired in sunny Florida after a fulfilling career. In this chapter of her life, she found love once more, marrying Bob Banker. Together, they cherished family moments until his passing in the 1990s. Remaining active, Juanita contributed her time to her son Dan's sign company, demonstrating her commitment to family and work ethic.
A devoted "Nana" to numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, Juanita's love extended through generations. Above all, her profound love for the Lord, as evident in Romans 8:28, guided her life's purpose.
Juanita's legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, leaving behind a tapestry of faith, family, and unwavering dedication. May she rest in eternal peace, her memory a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.
