Jerry Dean Cooper Sr.

July 12th 1950 - September 2nd 2021

Jerry was born in S.C. he lived in Augusta Georgia until his family moved to Florida. He was raised with 9 siblings. He had unlimited stories of shenanigans from his childhood days that were always entertaining.

He joined the Navy at the age of 18 where he served on a sub out at sea for 6 months at a time as a sub tech. His home Port was London Connecticut. Jerry was married twice which resulted in 11 children. Rose Mary, Barbara, Sally, Jerry Jr, Abel, Shawn, Martha Mae, David Cooper, Sherrie, Tommy & Chrissy Bowie and 26 grandchildren. He was a devout man of God. Went to Sanctuary Church. A master carpenter, avid fisherman and loved going anywhere with his family especially his brothers, he was a very devoted family man.

Jerry was preceded in death by siblings Otis, Joan, father Otis Bud Cooper, siblings Gary, Sheva Jean, Mother Martha Mae Rayborn Cooper , brothers Eddie and Kurt Cooper. Surviving siblings Betty Sue O'Brien, past October 4th 2021, and twin brother Terry Cooper.

A gathering for Jerry will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 COUNTY ROAD 46A, SANFORD, FL 32771. A celebration of life service will occur Friday, October 29, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 5000 COUNTY ROAD 46A, SANFORD, FL 32771. A reception will occur Friday, October 29, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 5000 COUNTY ROAD 46A, SANFORD, FL 32771.
