(April 9, 2011 – Jan. 12, 2022)
On Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, Isabella Aliana Ortiz Nieves was greeted by her angels and ascended into heaven. At only 10 years of age, “Princess Izzy'' left a mark on the hearts of all who met her. She was known for her warrior spirit, flowing dresses and a smile that stretched from ear to ear. Despite her lifelong battle with HirshSprungs Disease, Izzy’s spirit could not be broken. Her love of life beamed brightly in her deep brown eyes and she was frequently cited as being the strongest person in the room.
A loving big sister – Izzy would chase her brother and sister around the house, play dolls for hours, collected Shopkins, and adored the brave and wild stallion, Spirit. An aspiring veterinarian, she illustrated a keen sense of detail from an early age. She monitored her medical treatments as closely as anyone and would not hesitate to remind caretakers, nurses, or others on her team, just how “mom does things.”
Through the love, grace, skill and prayers of her family, church and medical team, Izzy radiated joy in the best and most challenging of times. She loved deeply and will forever be loved in return.
Isabella will be laid to rest on, Wednesday, January 26 at 10:00 am in Oaklawn Cemetery 5000 Co Rd 46A, Sanford, FL 32771.
A Memorial Service for Isabella will be held on Sunday, January 30th at 2pm at Iglesia Maranata de Oviedo, 20 Academy Ave, Oviedo, FL 32765.
The family requests privacy during this challenging time and encourages the sharing of memories and reflections of Izzy on her dedicated memorial page, located at https://www.facebook.com/groups/isabellaortiznieves.
