Everett proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a business owner and worked extensively in the plastics manufacturing industry and industrial machinery business for more than 60 years. He traveled across the United States and had an encyclopedic knowledge of the highways and byways that crisscross the nation. He used that knowledge to frequently visit his grandchildren and had a tremendous impact on all of their lives. His children and grandchildren were his greatest joy, and family was always his priority. He cared deeply. He gave generously. He was an avid NASCAR fan and rarely missed a race broadcast. He enjoyed vintage Western television shows and movies. His favorite movie was True Grit with John Wayne. Fiercely independent and strong willed, he lived his life on his terms. He overcame numerous adversities and hardships – never slowing down. He had a clever sense humor and the humility to laugh at himself. He lived. He led. He loved. He set an example that his family holds dear today.
