Edison was born in Auburndale, FL November 26, 1930 to David Loren Myers and Blanche Bullock. He was a lifelong resident living in Sanford, Florida where he met Sarah Kate Swaggerty. They married in February 1952 and had two boys Bruce Alan and John Loren. He worked at Florida Power and Light in Sanford as a lineman for 37 years and retiring in March 1989.
In his younger years, he was in the National Guard, he enjoyed camping with family, fly-fishing with his older brother. As a proud father he never missed a ball game, supporting both his son's from little league through high school. However, Edison's biggest passion was his hobby of building model airplanes. He was active member of the AERO Modelers Club, flying his model airplanes in Geneva. When he wasn’t flying his planes, he was in his shop cutting balsa wood and building the models. There wasn’t a blueprint that Edison couldn’t build.
Edison loved to read his magazines with his favorite dachshund Snoopy by his side. He loved his game players Solitaire and Yahtzee to pass the time when not building airplanes. And at the end of the day he loved his chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream!
Edison is survived by his loving wife Sarah Kate Myers of 67 years, two sons, Bruce Alan Myers (Rhonda) Winter Springs, FL, John Loren Myers, Deltona, FL, two grandchildren Jeffrey Myers (Christa), Winter Springs, FL, Zachary Myers, Deltona, FL , three great grandchildren, Emma, Jacob and Charlie, and his bother Nathan Myers (Linda). Two brothers preceded him in death David Myers and Donald Myers (Joyce).
