Sara Brown Kendrick, 76, of Marietta, Georgia, died on July 30, 2017 after a three-year battle with cancer. She was born in summer 1941 in Houston, Texas to Mimi and Henry Brown, who, along with her two brothers, Ronnie and Don, predeceased her. She attended Morris Brandon Elementary, Northside High School and was a Phi Mu at the University of Georgia. Sara is survived by her six children: Katherine Trulove, 55; Sally Robinson, 54; Margaret Bonanno, 53; Bonnie Kendrick, 50; Caroline Kendrick, 49; and Samuel Kendrick Jr, 48. She loved them all fiercely and they her. She was known as “Mom” to her kids’ many friends. Sara had three loving sons-in-law, eleven adoring grandchildren, one great-grandchild and another great-grandchild on the way. A charming woman of boundless energy who could pinch a penny double, she always had her personal business taken care of so she could look after others. Visitation will be held at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm with a reception afterward to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sara’s name to the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
