Robert "Bob" Margolin, 95, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side after a long illness on December 22, 2024. Mr. Margolin was born in Utica, New York, and attended the University of Florida. He worked as a pharmaceutical representative, and later as a state government affairs manager. He was a proud Marine Corps veteran, in which he served as a Medic. Bob was a past-President of the Miami Chapter of B’nai Brith and was a volunteer with a variety of charity organizations, including Jewish Family and Child Services (often appearing as “Bobby-O the Clown”). Bob was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Reyo Rutkin Margolin; and is survived by his wife, Madaleine "Maddie" Patterson; son, Jeff Margolin; grandchildren, Amy Margolin, Marty Bock and Aaron Bock; step daughter, Rhonda Jones; step grandchildren, Rachel Teets, Rebekkah Bartle; and step great grandchildren, Eden, Russell and Dean Teets. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Jewish Kids Groups (jewishkidsgroups.com) or the Southwest Florida Chapter of Blessings in a Backpack (swfl.blessingsinabackpack.org). Graveside services will be on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Arlington Memorial Park with Rabbi Judith Beiner officiating.
