Peggy Ramey Moore, 82, passed away on May 26, 2022. Originally from Evansville, IN, she was raised in Miami Beach, FL and lived Atlanta, for most of the past 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul James Ramey and Louella Hellen Borders; brothers, Robert Stephen Strauss and Mike Strauss. Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Moore Henderson (Ken); son, Danny Lee Moore; grandchildren, James Durham Henderson, Marguerite Ramey Henderson, Stephen Lee Henderson; and siblings, Bobbette Louise Strauss, S. Arnold (Beau) Kay, Richard Kay.
Married to Dan Moore while studying childhood education at Indiana University. She pursued a successful residential Real Estate career in both Atlanta and St. Simons Island. Her expertise continued in the residential mortgage industry for many more years. She was also a member of the Cassina Gardening Club and was also (at the time) the youngest president of the Atlanta Women’s Council of Real Estate at 27 years of age. In retirement, she pursued many interests and hobbies but her most precious times were cheering her daughter’s high school basketball games and the same for her treasured grandchildren’s many sports and activities. She was always a force to be reckoned with, yet, with the most caring heart. She loved to crack a joke in her own unique way. Last but not least was her Georgia Bulldog Football teams; the 2021 National Championship was extra special.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 4 to 6 p.m. at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Graveside services will be at Arlington Memorial Park on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Celebration of life will follow directly at her daughter’s home.
