away on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022. Ed was born
on May 16th, 1939.
He is survived by his beloved daughters Tammy Lanier,
Kelly Luzier, Katie Richardson, Kaycee Hines and his 14
grandchildren & 19 great grandchildren. He is preceded
in death by his parents, his brother, Don, and his son, Clay.
Ed lived an incredibly robust life. He founded a company,
Immucor, Inc., and changed many lives with the employment
opportunities that it provided. He was a mentor and friend to
many. Ed was the epitome of generous. His true passion in
his life was to give to others.
He loved the Braves, the Falcons and his alma mater,
the Clemson Tigers. He was best known for his quick wit,
contagious laughter, generous heart and his life of the party spirit.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at
2:00 in the afternoon at HM Patterson & Son: Arlington Chapel.
