She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Raymond Q. Driver, her parents, George A. and Erma B. Wright, and two siblings who died in infancy.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Diana (Mack) Teston of Savannah, GA, and Betsy (Charlie) Staples of Conyers, GA. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Jennifer Hester of Athens, GA, and her great-grandchildren, Lilly and Wyatt Hester.
Her longtime caregiver, Euphemia (Becky) Gitau, was by her side since 2013 and was like another daughter to Betty, and a sister to Diana and Betsy.
Betty and her husband relocated to Marietta in 1965, where she resided until her passing. She was actively involved in Christ Orthodox Presbyterian Church until her health declined, but she continued her Bible readings and cherished visits from her church friends, especially Mrs. Debbi Smith and Mrs. Rachel Manget.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 1 PM at Arlington Park Cemetery. A reception will follow at H M Patterson Funeral Home in Sandy Springs.
