Belinda Frances Peters was born in New York City in 1947. She graduated from St John's University and became a teacher in New York City and later in Miami FL. She earned her master’s degree and became the first Assistant Principal at Bent Tree Elementary School. Belinda and William Peters were married in 1998, moving to Atlanta, GA. Belinda and Bill adopted two boys, Erick and Adam. Belinda is predeceased by her parents Demetrio Pimentel and Rosa (Ayala) and her sister Awilda Delgado.
Belinda was a very loving and devoted wife and mother. She spent much of her time caring for her family and tutoring her sons. Belinda enjoyed scrapbooking photos of the family’s celebrations, vacation trips and her son’s activities. She was a resident of Sandy Springs GA and attended St Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed decorating her home for every holiday in the year. Belinda was skilled in home design and décor. She and Bill worked together to make her visions reality with much success.
Belinda retired from Miami Dade Schools after 30 years. She was well liked by the teachers, staff, parents and students at Bent Tree Elementary School. Where she retired after nineteen years.
Belinda will be missed greatly by her many friends and family. She had such a great faith in God that she was never doubtful or fearful of her passing. She said many times “I am in God’s hands and I will be okay no matter what happens” she also said “I am on Jesus’ doorstep waiting for him to let me into Heaven.”
Belinda is survived by her husband William Peters and two adopted sons, Erick and Adam. Belinda is predeceased by her parents Demetrio Pimentel and Rosa (Ayala) and her sister Awilda Delgado.
