22, 2019 at Boston Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chelsea, MA in
1944 to Daniel and Irene Burbank, Bill was raised in Longmeadow, MA with his two sisters. He
received his undergraduate degree from American International College and his Master’s in
Landscape Architecture from UMASS Amherst. In 1979, Bill married Barbara Rosander and
moved to Cape Cod in 1985. Bill had a successful entrepreneurial career and built personal and
professional relationships that would last a lifetime. After decades of quietly managing his
polycystic kidney disease, Bill was forced into early retirement. However, that did not dissuade
his active involvement in the Sandwich community and his pursuit of becoming an eloquent and
thoughtful author. A loyal family-man, Bill took great pleasure in watching his grandsons play
sports and bonding with his son-in-laws over sports. He is survived by his bride, Barbara, three
daughters, Whitney, Kelle, and Rachael, and five grandchildren, Connor, Ethan, Braden, Evelyn
and Gracyn. He is also survived by his sister Lee Burbank Ross and many loving nieces and
nephews. Bill was predeceased by his sister Betsey Burbank Sink. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the Trustees of Sandwich Beaches, www.trusteesofsandwichbeaches.org. A
celebration of life will be held for Bill at West Parish-Barnstable, 2049 Meetinghouse Way, West
Barnstable, MA on Saturday January 26 at 11 am.
