She was born Virginia E. Burbine on September 27, 1938 in Brockton, the daughter of Francis and Mildred E. (Tibbetts) Burbine.
She attended and graduated from Rockland High School. After graduation, she married Glen Hollatz. Glen was a member of the U.S. Navy and the couple relocated to several Navy Bases during his time in the service.
They moved permanently to West Yarmouth in 1966 where they raised their family. Ginny and Glen worked together for many years as owners of the First Main Street Insurance Agency. She would later work for Cape Cod Ambulance as a biller.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Frances (Burbine) Porrino.
She is survived by her children; Andy Hollatz and his wife Christine of Quincy, MA, Darlene Maggio and her husband Michael of North Easton, and Diana Gavoni and her husband Paul of Sandwich. Also surviving are her grandchildren Alexander Hollatz of New Hampshire, Matthew Hollatz of Quincy, Christopher Maggio of New York City, Lauren Maggio of Boston, Nicholas Maggio of New York City, Ben and Luke Gavoni of Sandwich. She is also survived by her siblings Sandy Burbine of Maine, David Burbine of Pembroke, and Jeff Burbine of Florida, as well as many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Friends may share their respects with the family at a memorial visitation on Thursday, December 18, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Rte. 6A, Sandwich, MA 02563.
