Michelle predeceased by her parents, Annette (Doran) and Robert Anthony Parece, her brother Leo and her son Peter N.
Michelle is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, the love of her life, Ronald Henry Jones. Her legacy can be found in her loving children, Robert A (54) of Houston, Adam D (48) of Sandwich and his doting wife Toni, Andrew J (46) of New Bedford. Kam, Morgan, Greyson, Griffin, Paige, and Owen are lucky enough to be her grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Paul, Mark, and Michael and her sister, Danielle and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Though spread out geographically, all of our family rushed to her bedside to hold onto her last days, grateful for enough time to gather, fortunate to witness, soak up, and savor all the love that the Jones family has cultivated across generations. Divinely honoring Michelle’s gift of oration, during her last days, the Jones family did what we do best. We swapped stories about Michelle, stories she repeated, stories she embellished, stories she told like no one else, including the characteristic tangents and digressions, finding humor, absurdity, and comfort in even the mundane. She was known to be deep in the middle of an epic tale and, seeking corroboration, Michelle would ask Ron, her rock, to confirm details and plotlines. She will be remembered for her words. Against the odds, uttered in between states of consciousness and labored breaths, her last words spoke to her resilience against life’s inevitabilities and served as a final vow of love to Ron. A life full of delectable home cooked meals, the Red Sox, an unrivaled dedication to family photos, service to others, ridiculously intricate gift-giving schemes, inspirational partnership, cruises, competition-worthy holiday decor, thoughtful handwritten cards, and seemingly endless generosity is what we celebrate when we speak about Michelle Ann.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich Ma.
