Mary Luciani

LUCIANI, Mary, 83, of Buzzards Bay, MA passed away on Monday February 17, 2020 at the Royal of Buzzards Bay. She was born to the late Antonio and Lucia (Finocchio) D’Alessandro in Boston, MA December 6, 1936.

Mary grew up in Hyde Park, MA, were she met and married her late husband Peter J. Luciani. She later moved to Sandwich, MA on Cape Cod were she raised her family. Mary enjoyed all forms of crafts and she was an exceptional seamstress. Mary’s kitchen was always open whether for a cup of coffee, a biscotti, or a slice of her famous Ma’s pizza.

Mary was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Peter J. Luciani. She is survived by her children Diane M. Luciani of Onset, MA, John Luciani of Rockville Centre, NY, Peter J. Luciani Jr. and his wife Rita of Buzzards Bay, MA, and Lori Ann Luciani and wife Kimberly Hardy of Plymouth, MA. Grandchildren Luciana Gangemi and husband Joseph of Plymouth, MA, Cassandra Moran of Plymouth, MA, Zachary Moran and fiancée Casey Snell of Nantucket, MA, Peter J. Luciani III of Buzzards Bay, MA and great grandson Christopher Gangemi, of Plymouth, MA. Her sister Connie Balerna and husband Joseph of Cumberland, RI. Her brothers: Anthony D’Alessandro Jr., of Walpole, MA Nicholas D’Alessandro and wife Eileen of Canton, MA, and the late Dominic D’Alessandro and wife Josephine of Sandwich, MA. Many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday February 24th at 11am, St. Mary’s Church, Onset, MA, burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Visiting hours will be held Sunday February 23rd from 2-6pm at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Rt. 6A Sandwich, MA.
