Born at Cape Cod Hospital, she was the daughter of the late John Bernard and Elizabeth (McLaughlin) McArdle.
She was a lifelong resident of Sandwich and proud of her Townie heritage. Carol worked for 26 years for the Town of Sandwich and was Assistant Town Clerk for the last 18 years until her retirement in 1998. Prior to that, she was employed for Bill & Fran Lamb Insurance Adjusters and the Bryden Insurance Agency.
Carol loved to travel especially taking cruises to many different locations around the world. She was an avid reader. She thoroughly enjoyed her summer days floating with the tide in the Mill Creek with her closest friends.
She is survived by her son, Gene Morrow Jr. and his partner, Peter Newton of Sandwich & Provincetown. Her daughter, Marybeth Robichaud and her husband, Al of Sagamore Beach. And, her son John and wife Michele of Surprise, Arizona. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Madeline Morrow of Tucson, AZ and her grandson, Dillon Morrow of Surprise, AZ. She was predeceased by her daughter, Ellen.
Carol is also survived by many nieces & nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was also stepmother to Jackee Shepherd and Tuli, Jane & Bud Taylor.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Keystone Place in Buzzards Bay for their excellent and wonderful care that they provided to our mother.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the wake from 9-11am on Monday, August 16th at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home at 154 Route 6A in Sandwich. Following these services, she will be interred at St. Peter’s Cemetery and all are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to any hospice association or your choice of breast cancer organizations.
