Anne Louise (Hagerty) Drysdale, of East Bridgewater, formerly of Sandwich, MA passed away on October 2 at the age of 77. She was the wife of the late Roy A. Drysdale and daughter of the late William and Cleo (Gill) Hagerty. She was also the sister to the late William Hagerty of Ohio.
Anne is survived by her children Bonnie D. Surdam of Warwick, RI, Charles E. Surdam of Georgia, and David Drysdale of Randolph, as well as her sister Mary Cotone of Easton. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Anne was devoted to others, obtaining her C.N.A. Certification late in life and she put her family commitments first. She always wanted to help everyone, whether they were ill, hitting a bump in the road of life, or just needing a listening ear. She enjoyed her profession assisting clients, friends and family with challenging situations and stayed with them through and through.
Although she was from South Boston, a “Southie” true and true, Anne relished living on Cape Cod--the beaches, the lighthouses and her many friends. She had an interest in antiques and loved to shop! The New Hampshire/Maine mountains and lakes were her getaways, spending time just enjoying life and nature. She had a playful side to her which many family children will never forget. A regular prankster was she, always plotting something. She was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her family. She adored animals, cats in particular. She had a sparkle in her eye, a smile that could light up a room and a heart filled with love that had no boundaries.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA. Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Family members are invited to attend a luncheon at a restaurant in close proximity.
