

Michael Kent Longfield passed away in his home surrounded by loved ones at 9:38 AM on November 10, 2022 joining our dearest relatives and friends in heaven after a battle with cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, grandpaw, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Michael is survived by his wife, Cindy Longfield; daughter, Patricia Verhoest (Derek); fur-daughter, Roxi; grandfurson, Puma; grandchildren, Connor, Cody and Ava; mother-in-law, Lucy Mitchell; sisters-in-law, Elaine Hannah (DC) and Julie Mitchell (Richard); brothers-in-law, Anthony Medeiros (Janet), Rick Medeiros (Shirley). Uncle to Adam (Francesca), Joseph (Morgan),Cody, Rylie, Jolie, Lily, Alicia, Rickey, Stephanie, Barry, and Hannah. Great-Uncle to Karissa, Easton, Cayden, Alexander, and Loretta. Friend to Jason, Kim, and many more. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, O’dell Mitchell; nephew, Damian Garibaldi; and his other beloved pets, Zoe and Sandy.
Michael loved animals, hiking, taking long walks, traveling with Cindy, Patricia and Roxi, taking their jeep 4 wheeling, cooking, going sledding with his nieces and nephews, getting together with family as often as possible, watching S.F. Giants baseball and Golden State Warriors basketball was a must…there are too many memories to put on paper.
We lost a big piece of our family when you left us, Mike. May you be healed and partying with the best of them in heaven. You will remain in our hearts always and forever.
A visitation for Michael will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Willow Glen Funeral Home, 1039 Lincoln Ave, San Jose, CA 95125. A funeral service will occur Monday, November 28, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 1039 Lincoln Ave, San Jose, CA 95125. A graveside service on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Calvary Cemetery
