Maria L. Duarte was born on December 7, 1941, in Faial, Azores, and passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on January 19, 2024, in San Jose, CA. She’s predeceased by her husband Antonio G. Duarte. She is survived by her loving daughters Lizette (Robert) Woblesky, Gorette (Ilidio), Pacheco, and Idalina (Carlos) Furtado, grandchildren; Brittany (Tadon) Christopher, Erica (Jeromy) Whelan, Bobby (Kelly) Woblesky, Marissa Woblesky, Madison (Shane) Vecero, and Sydney Furtado, great-grandchildren; Robby, Lucy, Maverick, Declan, Cecilia, and Ruth, nieces and a nephew. Her true love was her family and enjoyed the company of her friends and family. Visitation Wednesday, January 31st, from 4 pm - 8 pm at Willow Glen Funeral Home, 1039 Lincoln Ave, San Jose, CA 95125. Funeral Service Thursday, February 1st, Rosary at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass at Five Wounds Portuguese Church followed by burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
