Resident of San Jose, California
June 3, 1926-April 18, 2016
Manuel went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2016 at 4:27 p.m. He was at home with family when he went to heaven. He was born in San Felipe, Guanajuato, Mexico on June 3, 1926. Everyone knew him as “Grandpa”. He worked extremely hard all of his life. He started working as a farmworker and then advanced to operate the tractors in the fields. Later, he was a laborer construction worker and carpenter building new homes. In his last job, he was a quality assurance for final inspection on new homes. He was a member of the Cement Laborers Union Local Union # 270 and Laborers International Union of Northern America. After work, he went to night school to learn new skills on how to weld and read blueprints. His hobbies were working on his house, reading, cooking and listening to his music and watching his movies, especially Danzón. He was widowed in 1973 to his late loving wife, Lupe Rodriguez Andrade. Manuel was a beloved father to Helen Rodarte, George Andrade and late Manuel Andrade, Jr., 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. His siblings are Socorro, Angel, Mario, Sergio, Daniel and Pablo. The memories of Grandpa Manuel will live on and his legacy will not be forgotten.
