Born as Yeth Chea on June 12,1954 in Battambang, Cambodia, she was daughter to the late Som Chea (father) and Yam Oum (mother). She was the oldest of 7 siblings.
Juliyeth and her family lived in refugee camps throughout the Philippines and Thailand for several years until they were sponsored by church members in the US, and moved to Colorado in 1984. Shortly thereafter, along with her daughters, mother and siblings, Juliyeth moved to San Jose, CA where she spent most of her life. In San Jose, she was granted US citizenship and legally changed her name to Juliyeth.
From her earlier years of graduating top of her classes in Cambodia, to receiving an AA degree in her 30's from San Jose City College, education and learning remained a key aspect of her life. After receiving her degree, Juliyeth started her lifelong career as an Administrative Assistant II/Translator at the Santa Clara County Office of Education, where she worked from 1993 to 2017.
Juliyeth is survived by her daughters Minika Esposo and Chivy Dinh, as well as her six grandchildren: Benjamin (9), Dominic (7), Madison (6), Mackenzie (5), Theodore (5) and Ivy (2). She was preceded in death by her brother San and both her parents.
