On June 27, 1942, she was married to her love Raul A. Sosa. While Raul was in the Navy during WWII, Josephine worked as a bilingual secretary in the Chrysler building to support herself. While apart, they would both often listen to the song, “I’ll be loving you” and write love letters to each other. In June of 1943, Marie, their first child was born. October of 1948, they had twins, Raul Jr and Norma both premature. Raul Jr was called to heaven too soon. Gary was their fourth child born in May of 1951.
They moved from NYC to Ridgefield Park, New Jersey in 1952 to raise their family. They were active members in the church community and known for putting on Broadway plays. In 1966, they relocated to Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Josephine then worked at the Camden County Prosecutors Office. They retired to Florida in 1978 where they lived until Raul passed in September of 2005. Josephine then moved to Morgan Hill, California to live with her daughter, Norma and son in law, Tony.
She was blessed with seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Josephine was called to heaven, at the age of 95, on January 4, 2017.
