Beloved husband of 55 years to Margarita Sanchez Acosta, who passed in 2008. Loving father to his four children Joe(Karen) Acosta, Leticia(Rob) Holseberg, Bob(Adrienne) Acosta & George(Jana) Acosta. He was an affectionate grandfather to 10 grandchildren (Wendy, Robert, Adam, Samantha, Matthew, Ryan, Danielle, Joshua, Katelyn, Alyssa) and five great grandchildren. Jose was an active member at The Villages Spanish Club as well as at his parish St. Francis of Assisi where he made Mexican Hot Chocolate every year on December 12th for the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Some of his hobbies included gardening as well as his daily walks and visits to the hot tub. He retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad company after 43 years of service.
Due to Covid restrictions, the services will include a limited, outdoor, attendance at Oak Hill Cemetery gravesite; It will be held on Monday, January 4th at 10am.
The family plans to have a celebration of life at a later date.
