He is survived by his wife of 54 years Emilia Amaral, his children, John Amaral (Karlyne), Joe Amaral and Nellie Fitzgibbons (Kevin), his 7 grandchildren, Emilia, Kayla, Joey, Kathleen, John Paul, Natalie and Kevin, his 3 great grandchildren Nevaeh, Moises and Jordan, his siblings Antonio Amaral (Lucilia) from Gustine, CA, Maria Rosa (Joao) from Sao Jorge, Azores, Jose Amaral- deceased (Christina Amaral) from Morgan Hill, CA and Ernesto Amaral- deceased from Sao Jorge, Azores. Leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews in Sao Jorge, Azores, California and Idaho.

Thursday, January 23, 2020 Visitation from 6-7pm with Rosary at 7PM with Mass at 7:15PM at Five Wounds Portuguese National Church, 1375 E Santa Clara Street, San Jose, CA 95116. Burial on Friday January 24, 2020 at 11AM at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
