Elsie Kong Passed away on Tuesday, January 2nd. As the second eldest of 13 in the Wong clan who would marry Jone Kong, the eldest of 7 siblings, she touched many lives, always surrounded by large family.
Elsie was born in China on the 25th of July 1933 and would eventually earn her teaching credential in Taiwan before emigrating to the U.S, in the late 1950's and marrying Jone. In the 1960's she earned her Masters of Library Sciences from San Jose Sate University while raising 3 children. As a librarian in Santa Clara County, an ever-adventurous Elsie started investing in real estate in the 1970's and continued to do so for the next 40 years. Throughout her life, Elsie loved art, music, and travel though she equally enjoyed simply playing cards and sharing meals with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jone and their eldest daughter, Cynthia. She is survived by her devoted children, Patrick and Emily; granddaughter, Kinsey; and caring sisters; brothers; and in-laws. Her kind generous spirit will be missed.
