David was married 50 years to Virginia. They had 4 children, Alice, David, George and Christina. In 1967, From El Paso Texas, they decided to get out of Texas (otherwise we would be Dallas fans) and move his family to Pacifica, California as he had landed a job with Ford dealership as the Parts Service Manager, where he worked there for 25 years. While living in Pacifica, we would travel to San Jose, Willow Glen and enjoy the sunshine. Soon he bought a home in San Jose where they raised their kids over the next 45 years.
Virginia and David were members of Most Holy Trinity church where David served as an Usher for over 25 years. Virginia and Alice taught CCD classes every week along with Sunday school. All their children received all their Sacraments. David eventually took a job at Frontier Ford in San Jose and worked another 25-30 years until he retired.
He was a private man. A blessed man with a wife who was supportive of him and his family. He had 17 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. After he left lost his wife, 10 years ago, he was really lost without her. While his daughters and son in laws did what they could, he really liked the quietness of his home and memories of his wife. He enjoyed gardening, and could grow anything. He enjoyed fixing his truck that lasted too long. He suffered a stroke in the Fall of 2015 which led him to assisted living home where he had a studio apartment, fine dining and 24 hour care. He made lots of friends with the workers, and other Seniors who enjoyed his sense of humor. He spoke often of his wife and how he missed her. He ventured off in excursions with his new friends and loved to play Bingo. He attended church services when he could on Sundays. He enjoyed his football and baseball games on TV and Mexican music. He was a simple hard working man who provided for his family.
There were days his daughters would race down the hallway while in his wheel chair and made him laugh. There were many visits and car rides, or just watching tv with him. Now he is healed and with the love of his life.
