Daniel Martinez

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel G. Martinez Jr., 54, who succumbed to his 3-year battle with pancreatic cancer on July 30, 2024. He was surrounded by family in his home upon his passing. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessica and children Jacob, T'ana and A'liyah. Daniel, who grew up in San Jose, was also known as "Dapper Dan" by his close friends and family. In 2006, he surrendered his life to the Lord and started his journey with sobriety. Within that time, he has touched many lives and assisted with the transformation of others struggling with the same addictions and demons. He became a pillar of CWC Bay Area and an advocate to spread the word of God. Not only was he a participant of The Salvation Army Men's Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC), it later led him to volunteer his time to pour into men struggling with rehabilitation. He has always held a mentor mentality and with that has planted many seeds in others as others have planted seeds in him. Daniel was drawn to helping others and made a huge impact on the lives of many while working for New Hope for Youth the past 8 years.

A final viewing for Daniel will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125.
