Anabel “Ann” Edna Boring passed away peacefully on July 8, 2015 at the age of 87 surrounded by her family. She was born in Mount Vernon, WA to Martin and Fern Geisendorf. She lived in Mount Vernon for 25 years when she met a dashing Navy Lieutenant in 1953 and followed him to San Jose, CA where they were married. They raised their family in San Jose and Ann was very active being a great mom, remodeling their home, working as a bookkeeper, and being an active participant in her church (Calvary United Methodist Church). Upon retirement they relocated to Nevada City, CA where she worked alongside her husband to remodel a Victorian home and continued her active participation in her new church (Nevada City United Methodist Church). They returned to San Jose, CA five years ago to be with their family. Ann enjoyed trips with her family, camping, crafts, cooking for her family and church, reading, doing puzzles, and antiques. Ann’s smile, laugh, generous nature and loving spirit will be missed by her family and friends. Her dedication and love to her family, friends, and church is her legacy to all who knew and loved her. Ann is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, James W. Boring; her daughters Sharon L. Jones (John) and Linda K. Boring; her son Steven M. Boring; and her grandchildren, Christopher W. Jones (Emily) and Stephanie L. Jones. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, August 1st at 2 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 729 Morse Street, San Jose.
