Born Oct 9, 1939 in Los Angeles, Ca, died Sep 30, 2020 in Glendora, Ca. surrounded by her family. Rosie is survived by her children David wife Carol, Steve wife Maria, Kenny wife Martha, Katie husband Adrian. Along with 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Godchildren and Cousins. Rosie is preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Grace Alvarez and husband of 60 years David who passed five months prior.
Rosie met David at James A Garfield senior high after graduation they married on Sep 17, 1960 and started their family thereafter. Rosie became involved with St. Anthony’s when her and David moved the family to Rosemead. There they laid the foundation to raise their children. Rosie worked for Bank of America and Alhambra school district. She retired at an early age to run the house which she did very well. Rosie was someone who had a strong will and said what was on her mind. If you were not following the rules, she let you know you. Rosie was involved with various organizations from St. Anthony’s, San Gabriel High, Bishop Amat and later with the Elks along with David. Rosie was always there for her family, and friends. Always available with her opinion and guidance. There are many good memories that we all have of Rosie but one that keeps coming up is her famous jello squares. It seemed like she always had some ready, even when traveling she would freeze some for a trip.
