Amelia Abad Phipps

was born on December 17, 1929, to Fernando and Pacita Abad in Imus,

Cavite, Philippines. She is the oldest of 6 children with Rolando “Roy”

Abad, Sr. (2020), and Nelia Voluntad (2021) preceding her in death.

Amelia will be remembered for her graceful, elegant poise and beauty.

She had a mischievous sense of humor and an incredible appetite. No

one knows where she put it all! She was petite.

She and her husband Frank enjoyed traveling, listening to music and just

hanging out at the beach, as long as they were together.

Amelia is survived by her husband of 38 years Frank Phipps as well as

her siblings Fernando “Joy” Abad, Jr. (Evelyn), Wenona “Noni” Keel

(Larry), Danny Abad (Alice) and her sister-in-law Ludivina (Roy) and

brother-in-law Rene (Nelia).

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her nieces and

nephews: Elaine Voluntad (Joe Sylva), Alan Keel (Annette), Melissa

Mansfield (Clint), Grace Abad (Matt Snipper), Sandi Del Balso

(Anthony), Roland Abad (Gracelyn “Gigi”), Melanie Voluntad (David

Evans), Denise Guevarra (Oliver), Daniel “DJ” Abad (Amy) and Valerie

Cazimero (Kalani). The children of her nieces and nephews Alexa,

Taylor, Rachel, Rebecca, Sabrina, Samantha, Kendall, Pacita, Parker,

Abby, Nicholas, Jordan, Jeremiah, Xavier, Mia, Alivia, Josiah and

Carmen will miss their “Mama Mellie” and remember her fondly.
