Born July 23, 1934 in Los Angeles, CA, passed away peacefully at his home in Pacoima, CA. On Friday, September 2, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife Lucille Gonzales; daughter Norene Gonzales; and grandson, Edward Marquez Jr. He was the beloved father of daughters Rachel Herrera, dolores Gonzales, Kathy Gonzales, Joanne Anaya, Rosemary Guerra and son Manuel Joseph Gonzales as well as 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Maggie Gallardo, Virginia Castillo and Sally Romero; and brothers, Louie Gonzales and Luciano Gonzales.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011, from 4:40pm - 8:30pm with a rosary starting at 7:00pm at J.T. Oswald Mortuary. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Septermber 13, 2011 at 11:00am with burial to follow at San Fernando Mission Cemetery.
