WWII veteran, Bill, passed peacefully at home. He was known as one-of-a-kind! He leaves behind family members who will miss his humor, love, and great spirit. A US Army Air Corps B-24 Captain, he was shot down over Ploesti, Romania, wounded, and a POW. Highly decorated, he was surely one of the "Greatest Generation." He and his wife, the late Dorothy "Sis," raised 2 children, Donna Hall and Mike, became the grandparents to Shanel, Scott, Vicki and Greg, and great-grandparents to 8. He grew up in Huntington Park and had a successful business career. He will be missed by all the hearts he touched. A "Full Honors" military funeral for this 96-year "Old Soldier" is on Friday Jan. 13th at Miramar National Memorial park.
