Hi Tom. Remembering you a few days ago as I do with all my family and friends at both Miramar and Rosecrans. Stopped by to see you for a chat and a flag for you. Everything beautiful and well kept. Carol, I was so devastated when I learned that Tom had passed. I apparently had not been following him on Facebook, so I didn't realize what happened. I sure wish I can speak with Carol and share my sympathy with her, as Tom meant so much to me it was only recently that Carol Bachelor told me that she had read Tom's Facebook page and that he was dead. I don't have a photo of Tom or anything like that, just memories of working there at the center with him and learning from him. I'm very sorry to hear about Tom. He and I joined boot camp in 1965 and I only saw him once since then. Wish we had stayed in contact but it's too late now.

I knew Tom when I hung around with Rod Cozad and when we worked at San Diego Alarm company when we were in our teens and early 20's. I lost contact with him after that.

  Tom will definitely be  missed.  My prayers go to his family and friends.

To Carol and family, I am very sorry for your loss!   I met Tom when we worked at San Diego Alarm back in 1973 for me since I only worked there for 8 months.  We became good friends through the years and one day we met again at a Harley-Davidson shop in Oceanside.  I didn't know he rode and he like wise with me!  So we had many rides together until he split off and started doing very long rides which did not interest me.  I was shocked that no one got in touch with me about his motorcycle accident on the 9th of March when he was his way to Las Vegas I was told.   I just found out about it last night April 20th.  I would assume he was riding with the blue knights.  We enjoyed our company together and I wish his family the best in these trying times.  In the attached photo, I'm on the left at Rainbow Oaks Restaurant.    Rest in Peace Tom.

R/Rod Cozad

I served alongside with Tom as a Security Specialist, with the Order of the Arrow; the honor society of the Boy Scouts of America, originating in 1988 until 2009. Together we attended two national Boy Scout Jamborees and eleven national Order of the Arrow conferences.  Tom was a quintessential mentor to me and lived his life constantly in accordance with the obligation of the Order of the Arrow; to always be, "unselfish in service and devotion to the welfare of others." Tom assisted me in becoming a better person and indeed our friendship through service in Scouting was a privilege I will never live without.

I remember Tom being such a kind and welcoming person on my first PGR mission I attended in San Diego. He was a true gentleman and took the job of being ride Captain very seriously (as it should be). Whenever I attended missions in San Diego I was always greeted like I was an old friend. I am sure I saw him at missions other than SD also. RIP TKool, you will be greatly missed. I have since moved to NorCal so I won’t me able to attend his services 😔 sending many prayers to his family! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼♥️♥️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Tom,  you are one of the best.  My  fondest memory is from a few years ago.  I was a relatively new member of the Blue Knights.  My youngest son, who loves motorcycles, but is wheelchair bound came to Blue Knights charity event.  You took time during this busy day to greet my son and give him a Blue Knight's pin.  Your friendship and kindness will be sorely missed.

Tom ----  we will miss you.  Thanks for all the good memories with you & Carol at the Blue Knights events...and it was even fun seeing you at the St. Patrick's Day Parade.  I will toast to you!!  Rest in Heaven.  

God be with Carol and the family at this very difficult time.  Tom was one of the finest gentlemen that God created.  He was a friend to many of us and riding with him throughout the years was a privilege.  He was truly one of the best and we will all miss him very much.
