I am heartbroken to learn of Tanya’s passing. The world was a better place for her gifts snd kind spirit, and she will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to her family and prayers of healing and peace to all who loved her. What a tremendous loss. ❤️

Hearing of your passing was a terrible shock. You are such an amazing, adventurous, unique soul. You always seemed invincible to me.

Rest In Peace my sweet cousin. I’ll remember all our chats and laughs.   I wish we had followed through on those hang outs we had planned and I wish you had gotten to meet the girls. I hope you are looking down on them from where ever you are. You lead the most incredible life. I’ll never forget all the experiences you shared with me from all of your travels. I was stunned to hear of your passing.  Many memories.  I’m glad we reconnected over the past year, forgave what there was to forgive, remembered some of the good and the fun, and shared a few laughs.  May you Rest In Peace, Tanya.

I have been devastated by her passing, but choose to be inspired by all things Tanya. Tanya was an incredible being, full of kindness, amplified by a wide array of smarts and expertise. What Tanya did for me off the radar personally are treasures for which I have immeasurable gratitude. To her family and really close friends, please know Tanya has inspired me to do more for others. She has that reach always.  May we all have that 'Tanya inspiration.'

Wow I just found this site. I knew of Tanya's passing but I was waiting for the obituary to confirm the sad truth.  How can this be true... I certainly did not believe it until tonight?!?! 

Oftentimes when the sun sets here in Arizona I sit out in the backyard with my dogs , drink a couple beers , and relax after the day and many times I would get a call from a familiar phone number... of course it was Tanya wanting to just talk and chat. Occasionally about future trips she wanted to take but mostly about airplanes and other fun topics.

My dogs and I will lift a toast to my friend Tanya Marie Johnson during this evenings sunset. Tanya may you now be able to FINALLY fly in peace!!!  Forever N9TJ...

Tanya Johnson is one of the smartest, most adventurous and fun person I have known in my life. We met each other on our first day of medical school and quickly became best of friends through the years. We shared many adventures together. Through 25 years of friendship, we have seen each other through happiest of time and hardships. For the  past two years, my beautiful friend was facing a pain that none of us could help her. I like to think that Tanya is now in a peaceful place.  I will forever cherish your friendship and love. You will be in my heart forever

When I met Tanya for the first time in Bhutan I was immediately taken in by her charme, wit and enterprising nature. I then looked forward to seeing her on my few journeys to Bhutan. Tanya invited me to one of her parties in the US, which regretfully I could not attend.
So now I am extremely saddened that I will never see her again.
I think she was a most wonderful person and will keep Tanya most fondly in my memory.

Beautiful Memories are exactly what we shared.  I’m so Blessed to have had such a wonderful friend like you.  From the moment I met you over 16years ago, life has never been the same. You showed me the World and everything it has to offer. You are one of the most caring, and generous people I know.  Energy and passion for all were my favorite things about you.  I envied your constant quest for adventure.  Your Love and Support were always felt deeply.

Someone as special as you will always be loved and never be forgotten. You will be within my Heart along with all the memories we shared together. 

Sending our hopes into the universe that Tanya had peace at the end. She was always sweet and gracious to me, my husband and daughter.
We all enjoyed many fun filled times at the fantastic Halloween parties she and Charles generously hosted for their friends.
