Stan was the oldest of eight children and grew up in a loving and hectic household.
Stan began work at an early age helping his dad in the bakery and his work ethic carried with him his entire life. Stan excelled at academics and athletics and was awarded a scholarship to Brown University. While at Brown, he played both football and Lacrosse. After graduation, he worked in New York for some time until he made his way to San Diego to attend law school at California Western School of Law. Stan was an exceptional attorney who worked tirelessly to represent his clients.
Though he loved being an attorney, there was nothing that fulfilled him more than his family. Stan was, and will always be, a beacon of strength and love for his wife of 34 years, Fran, and their son, Spencer. He was always present for them with a calm demeanor and comforting and supportive attitude. His devotion to his son was unparalleled. He coached Spencer in soccer and baseball for several years and almost never missed a game from t-ball through high school despite his busy schedule. He was always available to offer advice or to just listen when it was needed. His commitment to Fran was one that most wives wish for. Consistently there for her in a manner that always made her feel safe and loved. Fran and Spencer were the gifts that he most cherished. Extended family was also especially important to Stan, and he loved all of them unconditionally. Stan is missed tremendously and will be forever loved.
A memorial service for our beloved Stan will be celebrated at 10 am on June 28, 2024, at St. Charles Borromeo Church. 2802 Cadiz St. San Diego, CA 92110.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
