Shirley Theresa Nepote

Shirley Theresa Nepote, age 93, of Rosamond, California passed away peacefully at 1;00 AM on Friday, August 18, 2023. Her son Michael was at her side. Shirley was born in Los Angeles, California on December 21, 1929. Shirley lived for many years in her home in San Diego.

Shirley attended Villa Cabrini school in Los Angeles for 13 years. She continued her education in Washington State and became a registered nurse. She spent her nursing years at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego. She was the mother of 3 children, and grandmother of 6. One of her neighbors commented that Shirley mothered the whole neighborhood. She was known throughout the family for her big meals, but it was hard to get her to sit down and eat. She was busy making sure everyone had enough.She was a lot of fun and always wanted to be involved in all the details of life. She attended every family and social event happily.

Her beloved husband Cesare predeceased her in April of 2021.

A visitation for Shirley will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at El Camino Memorial Chapel, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:30 AM, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121. A graveside service will occur Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 12:30 PM at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121.
