It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mrs. Salvacion Olfindo Enriquez on March 25, 2024 at 12:21 am at age 97. She peacefully departed this life at home surrounded by her loving and caring family.
Born to Isidoro and Telesfora Olfindo on November 16, 1926 in Viga, Catanduanes, Philippines. Salvacion O. Enriquez was the epitome of grace, strength and unconditional love. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of all who knew her with kindness, generosity and relentless devotion to her family.
As a mother, Salvacion O. Enriquez was widowed at a young age of 40. She assumed the daunting and challenging role of a father as well. She was an illuminating source of boundless love and support. Her nurturing spirit and wise counsel guided her children through life’s challenges and triumphs, moulding them into the individuals they are today. She found joy in every moment spent with her family, cherishing family gatherings, celebrations and simple everyday moments together. She was also a steadfast pillar, known for her compassion and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her selflessness and caring nature left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is a mother of few words but her actions and examples can express a message she wants to convey and even so has a stronger impact. Her warmth and zest for life brightened the lives of those around her.
Salvacion O. Enriquez is survived by her children - Evelyn, William, Franklin, Rosalie and Oscar; sons-in-law Ben and Vedasto; daughter-in-law Tusa and grandchildren - Eileen, Fayanne, Audrey, Francis and Jan who will forever cherish her memory and carry on her of love, wisdom and compassion. She is preceded in death by her husband Jose, eldest son Henry and grandson Stan.
A visitation, vigil and gathering of families and friends to honor and celebrate the life of Salvacion O. Enriquez will be held on Monday, April 8th at 4pm to 8pm at El Camino Memorial Chapel - Sorrento Valley. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 9th at 10am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Mira Mesa to be followed by Graveside Committal Service at 12 noon at Garden of Resurrection - El Camino Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Catanduanes San Diego (UCSD) “Gift of Love” Medical and Humanitarian Mission in her memory. UCSD is a (501)(c) tax-exempt, non-profit organization. Though she may no longer be with us in body but her nurturing spirit will live on in our hearts and memories eternally. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
