Roy J. Brant passed away peacefully on January 28, with his family. He grew up in San Francisco and went to USF. He spent most of his life in the San Francisco Bay Area and loved 'the city'. For decades Roy worked in HR, serving as officer of several multi-national companies and also as CEO of People Performance Programs. He always felt proud of all the people he mentored. He created and supported charitable programs, and he was on the Board of the Stanford Ronald McDonald House for many years. He was good at sketching, singing show tunes, and making Caesar salad, and he loved vintage cars. In later life, he moved to Whidbey Island (WA) and San Diego, but Los Altos (CA) was truly home. Roy is survived by his children Barbara, Robert, Roy, Steven, Michael, Jennifer and Jaimee, his brother Frank Nolan and sister Colleen Nolan, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He will be missed.
A Memorial Service in honor of Roy will be held at Alta Mesa Memorial Park, 695 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto, CA 94306 on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11:00am in the small chapel. Refreshments to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford in Roy’s Memory, where Roy was a Board Member for many years.
