Captain (Ret.) Richard Vincent Consigli, 81, of San Diego, California, died unexpectedly on February 26, 2022. He was passionate about traveling and the sea. He passed away on a beautiful, sunny morning while walking on the deck of a cruise ship.
Rick graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in the Class of 1962. He retired from service in 1990. In his spare time, he loved cooking, baking, making and drinking wine. He also enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family, playing bridge and traveling.
Rick is survived by his wife, Dot, of 55 years. He was a loving father to Rich, Cindi, Mandy (Antonio), and Dolly (Bill), and a proud grandfather of Rebecca, Liam, Parker, Chad and Alana. He is further survived by his three brothers, Ron, Pete, and Fred, and his sister at heart, Mary.
Rick will be fondly remembered at a viewing, followed by a Rosary on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 3:30 p.m.to 5:30 p.m. at Pacific Beach La Jolla Chapel 4710 Cass Street, San Diego, CA 92109.
