Porfirio "Paul" Gonzalez

Gonzalez, Porfirio “Paul” El Cajon- Paul Gonzalez, 74, passed away on September 4th, after a prolonged battle with cancer. Born in Los Angeles, Paul was one of 5 children raised by his beloved grandparents in Valle de Las Palmas, Baja California. Paul spent his early years in Otay and in 1956, moved to El Cajon. After several years of working in the Upholstery trade, Paul, along with his business partner, Glen Brown, started his own business; G&P Custom Upholstery. It was during this time that Paul established relationships with customers, families and friends that still last until this day. Paul is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dianne, children, Rachel (Steve), Becky (Jeff), Paul, Mary (Larry), Raymond, David (Monica), Catherine (Silverio) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Paul is also survived by three sisters, Ruth, Margo and Valentina. Paul will be remembered for his kind heart, his generosity and complete selflessness. He will be missed.

A Visitation Service and Rosary will be held at Goodbody Mortuary, 5027 El Cajon Blvd. San Diego, on 9/09/13 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Kieran Catholic Church, 1510 Greenfield Drive, El Cajon, at 10:00 am on 9/10/13. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
