Pilar Sevilla Arroyo

Pilar Sevilla Arroyo died peacefully in Chula Vista, CA on March 21st 2025 at the age of 92. Pilar is survived by her three sons Ruel, Ramil and Randy Arroyo of Chula Vista, CA. Pilar was born on October 12th, 1932 in Bagbag, Rosario, Cavite Philippines. She graduated from St Joseph College in 1954 with a degree in Midwifery. She married Orlando Arroyo, who was in the US Navy at the time.

In 1976, Pilar and her three sons moved from the Philippines to California to join her husband in Alameda, California. After moving to California, Pilar was a stay home mom tending to her three kids. Her three sons remember her as kind, gentle, loving and generous soul who encouraged them to pursue their studies and goals.

Pilar enjoyed sewing clothes especially for her grandkids (Grace, Alex, Annalyn, Allyson, Niko, Alexa and Sabrina), and often shares her early life stories with her daughter-in-laws (Belinda, Carol and Emmylou). She was a generous and helpful individual who loved to pray and who was passionate about helping her relatives and family members in moments of need.

Viewing services will take place at El Camino Memorial Park on Thursday, April 17th, 2025 from 4:00PM - 8:00PM. Funeral services will on April 18th, 2025 from 12:00PM to 1:00PM followed by Committal services from 2:15PM to completion. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Pilar’s life.
