Michael Keith Armstrong

Michael was born on January 15, 1947, to Wayne and Francis Armstrong in Monmouth, Illinois. His father was in the Navy, so they moved around a lot until they finally moved to Imperial Beach, California. Here, Michael went to Mar Vista High School. He loved hanging out with his friends, surfing, and spending time with his high school sweetheart Nani. After graduating high school, Michael joined the Navy and was on the Sculpin Submarine.

After serving two years, he eventually decided to move back to Imperial Beach. One night, at a mutual friend’s party, he was reunited with Nani. Their loved sparked and they decided to marry on June 27, 1970. Michael and Nani have three sons: Marc, Michael Jr. (aka Mik), and Tobin (aka Toby). They also have five grandchildren: Sarah, Jacob, Makaela, Gavin, and Kamden.

Michael spent over forty years working for Vons/Safeway. He was loved by all his employees because of his incredible heart and work ethic. Once retired, he enjoyed traveling more, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Michael was predeceased by his father Wayne. He is survived by his mother Francis, wife Nani, brother Jim, his children, and grandchildren.
