SAN DIEGO - Martin Evan Glasser was born in New York City in 1942. He was the younger son of Helen and Sam Glasser, MD, and brother of Edward Glasser, MD. He served proudly as a young surgeon in the front lines in Vietnam in 1968-69 as a Lt. Commander. His life long avocation was to provide care for all veterans with PTSD. Marty's medical career of nearly 50 years was dedicated to the psychiatric care of children and adolescents. He was a leader in the movement to bring mental health care into parity with other medical fields for all patients. He was admired and loved by patients and colleagues nation-wide. He is survived by his wife, Franny, their children, and four grandchildren. Military Funeral Honors will take place on August 5, 10:00 a.m., at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery at Cabrillo Memorial Drive, San Diego, California 92106.
