Marjorie Elizabeth Easton, 98, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2014, in San Diego, California. The only child of George Henry Williams and Ethel Lida McGinnis Williams, she was born on April 16, 1915 near Denver, Colorado. She was her father's partner in crime and her mother's greatest friend. Along with her parents, 'Marge' moved to San Diego in 1921, living in the downtown area and Coronado. As a young child, Marge could often be found enjoying the activities and swimming at Tent City on Coronado. She attended and graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in 1934. She received her diploma from Cosmetology School in Sacramento, California in 1936. A few month's previous, on New Year's Eve, Marge met her future husband, Orlando 'Bud' William Easton on a blind date and they married August 13, 1936 in Yuma, Arizona. Marge would keep the home fires burning as the owner and stylist of El Cerrito Beauty Shop while Bud served in Europe during World War II. Later she worked for the San Diego County Adoptions Agency where she developed cherished, lifelong friendships. A resident of Del Mar since 1978, she was an avid jogger and often competed in many 5K runs. Marjorie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Orlando, on September 27, 1998, after 63 years of marriage. She is survived by their three sons, Gary (Bonnie) Easton, Jay (Sharon) Easton and Steven (Debora) Easton; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
