Margaret was born the youngest of ten children on September 23, 1929 to Frank Celmer and Margaret Byorick. She grew up in Plymouth, Pennsylvania and went on to receive her Nursing Diploma from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital in 1950. She married Leo Matthew Paddock the following year and moved to Somerset, New Jersey. In 1955 they moved to southern California, first to Anaheim before settling in Santa Ana in 1959.
She practiced nursing at numerous hospitals, including St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she worked as a surgical nurse for over 30 years. She retired in 1985 and then with her husband moved to Bremerton, Washington. In 1994 following the death of her husband and birth of her grandson, she moved to San Diego, California to be closer to her family.
Margaret enjoyed traveling, dancing, gardening, listening to music, and playing card games. She was an avid reader and champion bingo player. She was a very loving and caring person and touched the hearts of many. She will be missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Mark Leo Paddock, her daughter-in-law, Linley Philipps Paddock, and her grandson, Matthew Brian Paddock
